An Illustrated Tribute to My Late Grandfather

This self-directed project honours my late grandfather. Inspired by traditional Peranakan tiles from the charming, shophouse-lined streets of Singapore, each illustration tells a story of the places he took me to while I was growing up.

Project exhibited in 71A Gallery, London. Featured on Catalog Magazine, KULT Magazine and IdN Magazine. Acquired by Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts.

“By creating art, I capture a part of him, allowing his memory to live on and his story to be shared with others.”

PERSONAL THOUGHTS

Whatever the medium, creating visuals has always been a way for me to express myself and my inner thoughts. This project was deeply personal, created during my time living in London, away from my family. Through this work, I pay homage to my Singaporean roots and the warmth I feel with my loved ones.

Deliverables
