Visualising the Currents of a Highly Emotional Person

Teaming up with photographer Herry Chia, I aimed to capture the essence of a deeply emotional inner world. The Kuala Lumpur-based shoot featured designs from independent Malaysian fashion designers.

KEY MESSAGE

“Feeling everything can be really overwhelming, leading us to numb ourselves. But even in mental health struggles, know that you don’t have to face it alone.”

This project is inspired by my journey as a highly emotional person. In my youth, I hid or numbed my feelings due to struggles with negative emotions. Through therapy and self-reflection, I learned to embrace my emotions without shame. This photo series aims to spark conversations, validate others facing similar challenges, and encourage them to seek help from loved ones or mental health professionals.
